May Half Term at Ushaw

Get ready for fresh air, family fun, and adventure this May Half Term at Ushaw!

Daily, 10am – 4pm included with Day Pass/Membership:

Let imaginations run wild in our Woodland Playpark, packed with natural play features for energetic explorers and then head to the Bounds field for classic outdoor games and activities.

Wander through our stunning Gardens filled with colour, where animal sculptures are waiting to be discovered around every corner, and bring the whole experience to life with our Outdoor Interactive Digital Trail—a fun, techy twist to your day out!

Toy Takeover (Mon 26 – Weds 28 May) – We’ll have with heaps of track and trains for your young engineers to construct and play to their hearts content.

Bird Spotting Garden Trail – Help us to survey the birds who live in our grounds.  Pick up your spotters guide from the Visitor Centre and keep a tally of what you see!

Spot & Search Indoor Trail –  In our Spot & Search Trail, see if you can find all the feathery details in our The Discovery of Birds exhibition.

Bookmark Printing | Tuesday 27, Wednesday 28 & Thursday 29 May

Join us to create your own printing plates which you can then ink up and print to make bookmarks. Pre-booking required £6-10, book your place here

Fun in the Woodland | Tuesday 27 & Thursday 29 May

Hang out in the Ushaw woodland, enjoy time in nature, swing in hammocks, read books & partake in woodland crafts. Should it begin to rain, the event will be moved inside. Included with Ushaw Membership or Day Pass. Drop-in between 1:30pm – 3pm, find out more here.

Walk-in Papercrafts | Wednesday 28 May, 1:30pm – 3:30pm
