Through the generous support of donors — individuals, business partners, trusts and foundations — we can do our thing, dream big and map out a bright, exciting future.
Ushaw is a registered independent charity and we rely on donations to help us run as an arts, heritage and cultural attraction for visitors and local communities here in North East England.
Our estate spans hundreds of acres. Our buildings are centuries old. We preserve and maintain a historic house, chapels, park, gardens, library and historical collections – as well as staging cultural events and providing education and learning opportunities – all year round.
After years of slow decline, we have transformed Ushaw estate into a vibrant visitor destination and much-loved community resource.
We are unique.
We bring wonder, amazement and surprise.
We cultivate curiosity.
Ushaw relies on its generous donations
