Our Journey
We’ve been on a transformational journey of growth since opening in 2014 as a visitor attraction and a creative and community hub. Looking ahead – we’re dreaming big, and planning for a bright and sustainable future.
As well as putting Ushaw on the map as a destination of regional significance, we’re passionate about making a difference for our local communities here in North West Durham, and wider County Durham. We’ve got exciting plans to expand our community and education programmes, but we can’t do this without additional funding and support. We’re also thinking about how we bring more of our site and buildings back into active, sustainable use – so there’s even more of Ushaw to see and enjoy.
Ushaw is a self-reliant charity – we don’t receive any regular public funding. Your support is vital in helping us to secure Ushaw’s future.
Become a Partner
As we enter our second decade of development, we’re keen to extend our network of partners and supporters. Our focus is mutual benefit – exploring how Ushaw can help your business – at the same time as offering you the opportunity to support our charitable endeavours.
There are a range of ways in which businesses can get involved – and you can choose to align your support with one of our fabulous events throughout the year, which will give your brand even more profile with our rapidly growing audience.
Your sponsorship also supports Ushaw’s continued efforts to address the socio-economic issues County Durham faces, for instance the isolation of older people, unemployment, food poverty, and education deprivation, as well as helping us to secure Ushaw’s future.
We’ve developed a range of packages, ranging from an entry level package at £1,000; through to £2,500 and £5,000. We would also love to have a conversation about in kind support and creative partnerships.
