Ushaw Editions
Ushaw Editions is an exhibition in collaboration with Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair of new prints produced by contemporary artists Ade Adesina and Hugh Hamshaw Thomas in response to Ushaw and its collections.
Adesina and Hamshaw Thomas, recipients of the Ushaw Residency and Acquisition Prize, spent two weeks at Ushaw during the summer of 2024. During this time, they were introduced to Ushaw’s heritage, architecture and to its collections. Their artistic responses to their residencies will be shown alongside some of the original objects which inspired them.
The exhibition will take place from Saturday 12 April – Sunday 22 June 2025, with each of the artists having created an original contemporary print in response to their residency, which have been acquired as part of Ushaw’s Collection. The editions will be available to exclusively purchase as part of The Ushaw Editions programme, with all profits going back into the running of the historic house and grounds.
This is the third year of the Ushaw Residency and Acquisition Prize, produced in collaboration with Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair.
Established in 2016 by gallerists Jack Bullen and Lizzie Glendinning, Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair is the largest international celebration of print.
Entry is included with Ushaw Membership and Day Pass.
