2 September – The War That Changed Medicine Forever
When we think of the Second World War, we often think of battles, sacrifice, and global upheaval. Yet amid the devastation came one of the most remarkable periods of medical innovation in human history. Join us for a fascinating exploration of how the years 1939–1945 transformed modern healthcare. From antibiotics and blood transfusions to advances in surgery, trauma care, and rehabilitation, many of the treatments we take for granted today were developed, refined, or accelerated by the demands of war.
