Ushaw Chapel Choir: Illuminate – A Radiant Evening of Choral Music
Join us on Friday 4 July, as Ushaw Chapel Choir returns to the beautiful St Cuthbert’s Chapel for their annual summer concert.
From serene reflections to vibrant soundscapes, Illuminate brings together a rich blend of sacred, folk, and nature-inspired choral music.
Repertoire for the evening will include:
– Ola Gjeilo’s ethereal Northern Lights
– Eleanor Daley’s evocative Grandmother Moon
– Clara Schumann’s poignant Abendfeier in Venedig
– Tomás Luis de Victoria’s Salve Regina
– O Radiant Dawn by James MacMillan
Alongside other works by Herbert Howells, Kristina Arakelyan and Charles Wood, this programme explores the beauty of light and shadow in music.
From 6pm, our Francis Thompson Lounge will be open serving a range of alcoholic, soft and hot drinks. Doors to St. Cuthbert’s Chapel will open at 7pm.
