Chapter & Verse

Ushaw’s new book group welcomes all readers who are interested in reading and discussing books about faith and religion.  The group is called Chapter & Verse, and will meet monthly to read a mix of fiction and non-fiction with a religious theme or connection.

The next meeting of the new book group is on Tuesday 14 October at 1.30pm.  We will be discussing one of the Father Brown stories, The Hammer of God by G. K. Chesterton.  This story is available free online, usually found in the collection The Innocence of Father Brown.

The November meeting will be on Tuesday 18 November at 1.30pm.  For this meeting we will be reading The Time Before You Die by Lucy Beckett, a novel of the Reformation.

Everyone is welcome to join the Chapter & Verse book group.  No pre-booking is required, and the event is free with a Membership or Day Pass.

Chapter & Verse is Ushaw’s second book group. Boundless Books, a friendly, welcoming group of booklovers, already meets at Ushaw on the first Friday of each month.
