A Week with Saint Cuthbert

This March, we’re taking a little more time to slow down, gather together, and celebrate the life and legacy of Cuthbert of Lindisfarne, shepherd, bishop, hermit, miracle-worker, and still one of the North East’s most loved saints.

Cuthbert’s story is deeply woven into this landscape. His rhythm of prayer, hospitality, and care for ordinary people feels right at home here at Ushaw: a place of learning, prayer, welcome, and shared table.

So rather than marking his feast for just a moment, we’re stretching it across the week. With worship, conversation, food, memory, and discovery.
