Take A Stitch 2 Durham

Take a Stitch 2 is an independent group of creative textile artists and stitchers from Durham and the surrounding area. The members share an interest in a broad range of techniques including hand and machine embroidery, quilting and the acquisition of fabric and threads. The artists employ a range of styles from the very traditional to cutting edge contemporary work employing mixed media.

Members of the group firmly believe in the notion that stitched art is art.

Take a Stitch 2 artists meet regularly and often contribute to community projects across the region.

For this, their third exhibition here, the artists have collaborated on a new piece, a fine view of Ushaw from the gardens, which will be permanently located at Ushaw at the end of the exhibition.
