Specialist Plant and Garden Fair
After an incredibly successful event last year, we’re teaming up with Plant Heritage North East to bring to you a bigger and better second edition of our Specialist Plant and Garden Fair on Saturday 15 June 2024 from 10am – 3pm.
At the biggest plant fair in the north, you can buy some fantastic plants from a wide range of plant nurseries from across northern England as well as garden sculpture, furniture, and gardening accessories and machinery and much more.
Free with Ushaw Annual Membership, Day Pass, or Plant Heritage membership.
No pre-booking is required for this event.

– Plant Heritage North East Group – Their members bring a fantastic selection of home cultivated plants
– Harperley Hall Farm Nurseries – Specialists in alpines, woodland and bog plants as well as the rare and unusual
– Plants, Shoots and Leaves – a wide range of unusual and rare hardy perennials, and specialist in Epimedium and Hardy Geranium
– Lionmouth Rural Centre, Durham – fantastic growers and bring a brilliant range of top quality plants.
– Summerfield Nursery, York – Specialist growers of a wonderful array of Herbaceous Perennials, and Shrubs.
– Quiet Corner Plants, Durham – A fantastic grower with some wonderful plants – rarely seen!
– Cliff Bank Nursery, Leeds – A young couple who have turned a derelict nursery into a plant person’s heaven and they are coming to share their wares.
– Middlemoor Farm, Richmond – Middlemoor Farm Nurseries will be bound to have plants to empty your pockets.
– Fayrefield Horticultural and Landscaping, York – Fayrefield who supply annuals, perennials and wild flowers all with that focus in mind.

– Crosby Holme Grown, Carlisle – hard to find and unusual hardy perennials with the needs of wildlife and the planet in mind.
– Plantopia, Hartlepool – A wide range of indoor plants for every taste, along with pots and accessories.
– Wrags & Scotswood Community Garden, Newcastle – Organic growers, they bring the fruits of their labour, to also support their ongoing work.
– Primrose Bank Nursery, York – An award winning hardy perennial plant nursery, who bring along many unusual delights for your garden.
– Three Pools Nursery, Southport – Specimen trees, shrubs, fruit trees and shrubs, palms, and exotic plants
– Ushaw Gardening Team – We have been pricking out, dividing, and potting on, and whilst our plants may not be unusual or rare, they are reliable and hardy and what’s more, buying from us enables us to further develop the gardens at Ushaw!
