Romey Chaffer – Tipping Point
I studied art at Sunderland University (Fine Art 1978, MFA 2000) and was a Founder Member of Bearpark Artists Co-op (1983-2023).
I go outside to draw and paint near here. The observations can then be used as a starting point for compositions in the studio. From the start my work has been informed by my interest in the natural environment, particularly since living in an area recovering from the industrial past. Over the last few years some compositions have addressed my increasing concern with climate change and ecocide.
All of the works in the exhibition are for sale. If you wish to make a purchase please enquire at the Reception desk.
