Houghton Art Club

Join us for an exhibition of fine art by members of the Houghton Art Club.

Houghton Art Club meets weekly at Houghton Miners’ Welfare Hall every Thursday, 7pm – 9pm. We have around 40 active members drawn from Sunderland and the surrounding area and from County Durham. We pride ourselves on being a friendly club giving a warm welcome to new members whether they are beginners or experienced artists.

The club holds regular Saturday workshops with professional artists which are open to non-members. We also mount several exhibitions throughout the
year. Additionally, we plan excursions to art galleries, days out to places of interest or just for fun, Christmas parties and nights out.

The exhibition includes watercolours and oil paintings. With many of the artworks up for sale, if you would like to make a purchase, please enquire at our reception desk.
