Axum Folk Ensemble – Live from The Lounge
Join us for an unforgettable evening of folk music, live from our newly refurbished Francis Thompson Lounge on Sunday 1 December.
Axum is an eight-piece folk band from the north-east of England, they will be bringing their vibrant renditions of traditional and festive tunes to Ushaw.
Schedule for the night:
– 5pm Doors Open
– 5:30pm Axum Folk Ensemble performs a set of traditional folk tunes from across the British Isles and beyond
– 6:15pm Break
– 6:30pm Axum Folk Ensemble performs a set of festive tracks
– 7:15pm Performance ends
Performances have included: Beamish Open Air Museum May Day Celebrations; Tall Ships Blyth; Tall Ships Sunderland; The Sage Late Shows; Seaton Delaval Hall; Ushaw Historic House; Sunderland River Festival; Jesmond Festival; various summer fayres.
