Fun & Food Summer Programme at Ushaw
As part of the County-wide ‘Fun and Food’ programme, Ushaw will be providing FREE holiday fun and healthy food for children (aged 5-11) in the local community for 3 weeks during the school summer holidays.
We’ll have sessions taking place on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from W/C 8th August – W/C 22nd August which are highlighted below:
– Making Mondays | Monday 8th, 15th & 22nd August 2022 | 10:30am – 12:30pm & 12:30pm – 2:30pm
Making Mondays is an opportunity for children to work with a professional artist to create their own unique piece of art.
– Woodland Wednesdays | Wednesday 10th, 17th & 24th August 2022 | 10:30am – 12:30pm & 12:30pm – 2:30pm
Join Nikki Noo Noos for wild, Forest School style activities in the Ushaw woodland.
– Fun Fridays| Friday 12th, 19th & 26th August 2022.| 10:30am – 12:30pm & 12:30pm – 2:30pm
Family fun in the natural environment at Ushaw. These sessions may include slacklining, relaxing in hammocks, group games and campfire cooking.
Every child will receive a free healthy packed lunch provided by REfUSE Cafe (morning sessions 12-12:30, afternoon sessions 12:30-1).
The events are FREE for children, however they must be accompanied by a responsible adult for whom normal admission charges apply.
