Angels of the North: the History of Angels in Ushaw’s collections
Angels of the North: the History of Angels in Ushaw’s collections is a showcase of history of angels in art and theology by using artefacts and archives in our collections.
We see angels in our churches, house interiors, tv and media, they inspire pop-songs, hymns and poetry but what do they really mean to us?
This exhibition uses artefacts and books from Ushaw’s collections to discuss where these mysterious beings came from and how they still impact us today.
On display from Saturday 9 November – Sunday 26 January 2024. Entry included with Day Pass or Annual Membership.
Please be aware, the Library Gallery currently has no wheelchair accessibility due to the historic nature of the building. We are looking at making the Library Gallery accessible in the future.
